The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

PICK 'N' ROLL

Wednesday's Best NBA Bets

Atlanta Hawks at Toronto Raptors (3.5, 206.5)

Being short on name-brand talent is one thing, but a rash of injuries to the everyday players the team does have is keeping the Raptors out of the race in the Atlantic Division.

However, head coach Jay Triano isn’t looking at these aliments as excuses for how bad his team is playing. He bashed his team’s performance on the defensive end, where they have allowed an average of 109.5 points over the past six games.

“Defense is five guys playing and we’re getting one or two guys making a mistake at the defensive end. And when that happens, teams split you,” Triano told reporters. “We can’t afford that.”

The Raptors have played over the total in five of those games and own a 21-16 over/under record on the season.

“We just have got to find a way to have our guys not pace themselves,” Triano said. “And sometimes that’s hard when guys are playing as many minutes as they are due to our injuries, but we’ve got to find a way to make that happen for 48 minutes.”

Toronto and Atlanta have played over the total in 23 of their past 32 meetings.

PICK: Over

Miami Heat at Los Angeles Clippers (8, 194)

LeBron James is the most versatile player in the NBA. His speed and shooting allow him to play on the wing, while his size and strength give him the muscle to battle inside – something King James could be doing more of in upcoming games.

James saw time at center this past week, matching up in the paint against the Portland Trail Blazers. He dropped 44 points on the Blazers, adding 16 rebounds and six assists to his stat line. James also played big on the defensive end, guarding Portland center Marcus Camby.

According to head coach Erik Spoelstra, James will get more run at the No. 5 hole, which could make for an interesting battle between him and Clippers big man Blake Griffin Wednesday night.

"We've talked about it all season," Spoelstra said of James’ new position. "This certainly now is a good sign that we can start to do that. That might be a way we could use our versatility more."

Los Angeles’ frontcourt will be stretched thin versus Miami and its newly anointed center. The Clippers commit the sixth-most personal fouls in the NBA and will be hard pressed keeping LeBron from the rim, and the foul line, Wednesday.

PICK: Miami Heat

Wednesday's Best NCAAB Bets

Pittsburgh Panthers at Georgetown Hoyas (-3, 141)

The Panthers’ visit to the Verizon Center comes at a bad time for the Georgetown Hoyas, who have lost back-to-back games and haven’t covered a spread in their four Big East contests.

In order to snap this funk, the Hoyas need a big game from star guard Austin Freeman. The senior has disappeared in the past two losses, scoring a combined 17 points on 5 for 18 shooting including a poor outing in Georgetown’s 65-59 defeat to West Virginia. Freeman has only two points in the first half, finishing with 11 points.

"It's just me," Freeman told reporters about his performance Saturday. "I wasn't aggressive at all."

Freeman scored 11 points in the Hoyas’ 74-66 win over the Panthers last season but was just 2 for 8 with seven points in 70-54 loss to Pittsburgh in D.C. last January. Pittsburgh has won three of the past four meetings between these Big East rivals, going 3-1 ATS.

PICK: Pittsburgh Panthers

Duke Blue Devils at Florida State Seminoles (8, 144)

The Noles have been a tough matchup for the Duke Blue Devils. Over the past few seasons, Duke is just 4-9 ATS in the last 13 head-to-head games with Florida State.

However, this season, the Seminoles are in no shape to take down the defending national champs. They’ve dropped back-to-back games to Auburn and Virginia Tech and have covered just once in their past five games.

Florida State is averaging only 64 points in that five-game span – seven points fewer than its season average – and is 2-3 over/under. The Noles shot just 35 percent from the field in a 71-59 defeat the Virginia Tech and posted another 35 percent performance from the field in a 65-60 loss to Auburn.

Duke is holding opponents to under 40 percent from the field this year and gives up just over 63 points per game. These ACC foes have an over/under record of 3-11 in their last 14 meetings.

Wednesday's Best NHL Bets

St. Louis Blues at Anaheim Ducks (-125, 5)

Just how desperate are the St. Louis Blues at this point as they take a four-game losing streak into Wednesday’s date in Anaheim? Desperate enough to sign Kyle Wellwood.

Wellwood was playing in the KHL before his club released him late last week, marking yet another disappointing mark on his resume. Wellwood has been consistently questioned about his work ethic and conditioning throughout his career, so this is a telling move for the Blues.

Wellwood will have to clear waivers once everything is tied up in Russia, so he won’t be in the NHL for a while – if at all. T.J. Oshie is nearing his return from an ankle injury giving St. Louis hope that some offensive help is on the way.

The Blues had won five straight before the slump hit, but that’s been the story of their season so far. Until they get a few legitimate NHL bodies back in the lineup, they’re going to have trouble from one night to the next. David Backes can’t do everything for them.

Anaheim comes into this contest riding consecutive shutouts of Columbus and San Jose.

PICK: Anaheim Ducks

Colorado Avalanche at Chicago Blackhawks (-170, 5.5)

When the Avalanche and Blackhawks get together, the red light gets a workout.

Colorado has won three straight meetings against the Blackhawks, while seven of the last eight games between the two clubs have played over the total. Not much has changed this year.

Chicago is running and gunning again this year and is coming off a 5-0 victory over the New York Islanders. Patrick Sharp picked up another goal in the first period while on the power play, pushing the Blackhawks to a 24.8 percent clip with the man advantage – second best in the league.

With Colorado’s inconsistent goaltending, the club doesn’t have much choice than to try to pump in as many goals as possible from the opening puck drop. The Avalanche have a lot of speed and young talent that has them sitting fourth in the league averaging 3.3 goals per game.

Buckle up for some more fireworks.

Bettors' Best Friend (BFF): Wednesday's Wagering Tips

Lines To Watch

Chicago Bulls at Charlotte Bobcats – The Bobcats opened as 2.5-point favorites and that line has gone up as much as a point since then. The total is also up about a point or so, sitting between 185.5 and 186.5.

Who’s Hot

NBA: Orlando has won nine straight and covered in eight of those games.

NBA: Milwaukee has covered the number in four of its last five.

NBA: New York has covered in 11 of its last 14 road games.

NHL: Washington has won eight of its last games in Tampa Bay.

NHL: Montreal has won five of its last six against Pittsburgh.

NCAAB: Ohio State has covered in seven of its last eight road games.

NCAAB: San Diego State has covered in five of its last six games against UNLV.

Who’s Not

NBA: Boston has dropped six of its last eight against the spread.

NBA: Houston is 1-6-2 ATS in its last nine.

NBA: Utah has lost five of its last six against the spread.

NBA: New Jersey has covered in only two of its last 10 road games.

NHL: St. Louis has lost four straight games.

NCAAB: Georgetown is riding an 0-4 streak against the spread.

Key Stat

3 – number of times the Georgetown Hoyas have cracked 60 points in their last four games – all of which turned out to be losses both straight up and against the spread. The Hoyas average more than 81 points per contest on the year but are only 4-7 against the spread.

Injury That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Dirk Nowitzki (knee) Dallas Mavericks – Nowitzki participated in Tuesday’s practice but was limited. The team expects him to return to the lineup soon, but will not release another update on Nowitzki’s status until Wednesday’s shootaround. Consider him questionable for the game against the Pacers.

Game Of The Day

Orlando Magic at New Orleans Hornets (3, 190.5)

Notable Quotable

"That's just my feeling. I don't think so. I don't want to elaborate on that anymore. That's just my personal feeling. ... It could go on to the [Feb. 24] trade deadline." – Carmelo Anthony on whether the Knicks would be interested in acquiring him after the Nuggets reportedly threatened New Jersey that they would trade Anthony to New York if trade rumors kept leaking out of New Jersey.

Tips And Notes

The Charlotte Bobcats will get a big boost to the lineup Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls with Gerald Wallace expected to return. Wallace was a full participant in Tuesday’s practice and should be good to start barring any setbacks. He averages 16.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

Monta Ellis is still dealing with the flu and missed practice on Monday and Tuesday, but Golden State Warriors hope to have him back to the lineup Wednesday against the Lakers. Ellis leads the team with 25.2 points, 5.5 assists and 2.3 steals per game. He was held to 13 points in Sunday’s loss to the Clippers, shooting 4-for-19 from the floor.

The Colorado Avalanche are going back with Peter Budaj in goal Wednesday against the Chicago after he helped the club to a 5-4 win over Detroit. The Avalanche maintain that Craig Anderson remains their starting goaltender, but Budaj has been better lately – and even he hasn’t been that great. Budaj gave up four goals on 30 shots against Detroit.
